 Here is the "new" way:

interface ATM1/0.32 point-to-point
 ip address 1.1.1.2 255.255.255.0
 pvc madman 1/32

  or

interface ATM3/0.35 point-to-point
 atm pvc 1 1 35 aal5snap 5000 5000 1 oam 10
