From what I have heard on this list you do not get marked down on
unnecessary commands as long as they don't interfere with or stop your
solution working.

This may be wrong?

Colin and group,

Thanks for your answer, and congrats on your recent accomplishment.
My lab is tomorrow in RTP, so hopefully....
Just one last question for you and the group. Being that this is
the case, (multiring all is for layer-3 traffic), is it recommended to still
use it one lab scenarios that do not involve layer-3 traffic? Just don't
want to be caught by some little thing. Thanks in advance.

I would say you are correct, and yes I have seen a lot of conflicting
configs.

I have a quick question. Under normal circumstances with DLSW (bridging
NETBIOS and SNA), is it necessary to use the "multiring all" command?
(Assume that the token ring interface is connected to a 3920 with the mode
set to SRB) I was under the impression that "multiring all" command was for
adding a rif to layer-3 communications, and if that is the case it shouldn't
be needed for bridging SNA and NETBIOS, but is needed to allow layer-3
communications across a SRB network. Is this correct? The configs that I
have seen are conflicting. Please comment. Thanks in advance.
