The timers can be modified for both protocols so convergence is not really
an issue. OSPF can utilise authentication, so if this is an issue for then
OSPF would be the better choice. The relationship between EIGRP & Cisco's
dialer-watch would provide you with an alternative to using 'backup
interface' & implement dial backup on loss of route.
I believe that OSPF would be the more scalable choice when implementing on a
very large network, due to the use of areas & summarisation.
The choice is yours, so to speak!

yes i understand that, what I am looking for is information to say why ospf
would be better than eigrp in an all cisco network, ect authentication type,
convergence time, backup link options and so on.
