ip gdp irdp command in 3550 with layer 3 software

Does anyone with a 3550 with layer 3 EMI software care to look and see if the
"ip gdp irdp" is a valid command. I found some info that suggest that it is
not valid on a layer 3 image. All I have is a 2950 and it works there.
