I use the "ip host" combined with "alias" command. Then,
it only takes a few keystrokes to test your connectivity.
Use notepad to construct them, then just paste them into
each router. Alias can save you a bunch of time.
conf t
ip host r1 10.1.1.1
ip host r2 10.1.2.1
ip host r3 10.1.3.1
...
alias exec p1 ping r1
alias exec p2 ping r2
alias exec p3 ping r3
...
To telnet to r1, just type "r1". To ping r1, just type "p1".
