Guoqi,

        3550 does not support client side CGMP like the Cat5k, however
it does support CGMP on the server side when acting as a multicast
router. See this link for details:

        For L2 client functionality, 3550 uses IGMP snooping and
Multicast VLAN Registration (MVR). IGMP snooping is enabled by default.
