Read over the IOS documentation for the IP classless command and you'll
see.

ip classless
At times the router might receive packets destined for a subnet of a
network that has no network default route. To have the Cisco IOS
software forward such packets to the best supernet route possible, use
the ip classless global configuration command. To disable this feature,
use the no form of this command.

Subject: BGP and ip classless

I'm sure this following question has been beaten to death. I am still
unclear
if you would use ip classless or no ip classless with BGP. I understand
that
if you are not running BGP to use ip classless. The reason I'm asking
is,
because many Cisco press books have the no ip classless command
associated
with BGP.

Thanks,

Mathias
