Hi John,
NTP Peering allow both parties to sync other and be synched by others, in
another words, both peers allow receiving and sending synchronization
packets.
While NTP server allows receiving of NTP sync, and be syched by some means
(such as NTP master, atomic clock, etc.)
Have a nice day.
Widjaja

I use it if I have more than one NTP server in a domain for resilience.

Subject: NTP server/peer
Hello,
Can somebody explain the difference between "ntp server" and "ntp peer"
commands ?
I always used to use "ntp server".
I read this:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios121/121cgcr/fun_
c/fcprt3/fcd303.htm#xtocid2708216
and Doyle and Solie... and still don't understand when is suitable to use
"ntp peer".
Thanks,
Dmitry
