Auto-install is useful for swapping out hardware. If you have a router fail
at a remote site you can just send a new unconfigured router, get somebody
to plug it in and it will download it's config and start working.

Subject: Auto-Install feature question.

Hello,

Can anyone tell how the auto-install feature is used for on Cisco routers,
when you power them up, or why you would want to use such a
feature or point me to the cisco web page that explains it, as I cant find
it.

Kind regards.
Paul.
