Larry,
Unfortunately the secret is not to use the search engine. It is one of the
worst search features I have ever seen and I think most individuals on the
list would agree.
The easiest way to learn where things are is to use the CD exclusively.
One little trick is if I can't find the appropriate command or configuration
guide, I go to the master index and look up the command, click the link, and
select the 'Contents' button at the top.
When you select the 'Contents' button it takes you up one level and you can
back track to determine how to navigate to the location in the future
without using the slow master index in the future.
Use this method to relate what topics are in what guides, for instance, do
you know where to look on the CD for an example configuration IPSEC tunnel?
You probably know, or should know, one of the commands like "crypto." Look
it up in the Master Index and work your way up until you know how to get
there from the Command and Configuration Guides.
Also, all configuration examples are at the end of the particular
configuration guides for each topic.
When is your date and where?

Subject: Doc CD hints
Well,
I'm under a month from my first attempt, and I'm now at the point of trying
to hit all the little things.
I have only recently started using the DOC CD, and I am finding it very
difficult to find what I want quickly.
Does anyone have any hints on how to phrase your search to find what you
need?
I figure there must be a secret, I just don't know what it is.
Thanks
Larry
