IPX EIGRP Hub & Spoke Ping Problem

From: Michael Snyder (msnyder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)

I have a network:

Router(D)-----------Router(A)
                           |
Router(C)----------|

Router C & D are spokes, connected to the hub router A.

Running ipx eigrp, with split-horizon disabled on the hub.

The routing table looks fine, nothing is flapping. RIP is turned off on
hub and spoke network. Same number of ipx routes on all three routers.

Heres my problem, I cant ping from Spoke C to Spoke D, even thought
traceroute ipx shows the traffic going to hub. Nor can I ping from D to
C. I can ping from A to either of them.

I understand that this is a known problem with physical interface hub
and spoke frame-relay networks. For some reason I assumed that running
ipx eigrp would allow the pings to work. IP works fine in this
configuration when using ospf and ip ospf point to multipoint.

Am I on Crack today? Am I expecting ipx to do something it cant?
