folks ;
i have a simple scenario for spantree
cat=====R1
two links between the cat and R1 ,im running spantree on both sides and forcing
R1 to be the root.
on the cat , one of the ports are blocking (that is fine so far)
when i change the port priority to lower value (thinking that this will change
the port state and flap the ports ) nothing happened ??
i did the same on the router by making the cat as the root ..again the same sit
uation .
when i use the port cost ..everything work as expected .
what the problem with portpri command ???? am i missing anything here .
