  Strange, I played around with ours and it worked very well.

  No it's the equivelant of a 6500 in native mode though the 4000 ports
are layer 2 by default and a 6500 in native are layer 3 by default,
gotta love the consistancy!!!

  Just beware and very careful when upgrading the 6500 to IOS, you muck
up you RMA the sup!! The last time I did it the docs off CCO were
incorrect though fortunately not catastrophic. If I recalled the error
I would point it out but I can't:(
