IOS version question

Hi, group

   I am perpare a network for C3620 gateway and a
Catalyst3550 in the lan, the lan has the ipx service.
I set the IOS on C3620 is CD36-B-12.0.7 , does it working
for the ipx? If I have to make the GRE to have the IPX
pass the ip network, it is also work?
   And how can I set the OS verion in catalyst3550 for
this kind of service ?
