Hi,
It isn't response to the original multicast question but I have another
multicast problem without Cisco routers.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Here is my topology and I am getting video streaming with unicast but not
multicast through CheckPoint.
Without checkpoint firewall I am getting multicast for the stream.
Media server ---------Layer3 Switch ---------CheckPoint(runs on
Solaris)--------Client
146.142.42.232 146.142.40.210 146.142.40.236
146.142.104.10
146.142.104.1
If I have just Solaris without CheckPoint, Client gets video streams with
multicast,
but once CheckPoint is installed on the Solaris, , Client gets the streams
with unicast.
Dvmrp and Igmp is running on the Switch(3Com Corebuiler) and Mroute protocol
is running on the Solaris.
Does anyone have working configuration ?. Any solution for multicast
through Checkpoint will be appreciated.

First of all the multicast address range is from
224.0.0.0 through 239.255.255.255
second thing, once you correct the Multicast address,
make sure you have Multicast enabled on the LOOPback 0
of R1 with the command ip pim sparse-dense mode.
