1. You need to set mac-address under the interface of
router connected to this port first. Then, assign the
mac-address when you activate the port security. The
ways to activate the port security are different
between Cat5K and 3550.
2. When IP address is given. It is associated with
layer 3 protocol. Therefore, you need to setup
parameter of VLAN: agingtime etc.
