The answer is "it depends on the hardware". For a, say, 4700M the max
serial speed is E1 (2Mbps)... ditto for a PA-4T for a 7200, however for a
PA-4T+ or an FSIP-8 it's more like 6 or 8Mbps (I don't recall which... and
with other caveats re: max sum-of-speeds).
Bottom line is that you need to dig for the info on the Cisco www page for
the particular serial card you've got.
