Jim,

I think what Howard may have been trying to get across was he fact that many
people ask is X, Y or Z on the lab or in the written, etc. There is a
dedicated web site that provides this info. The people who answer with
anything other than refer to the web site fall into one of two categories:

1. Those who have not sat the lab - (this is not meant to offend) those who
have not sat the lab cannot possibly know what the lab content is exactly
unless they are in breach of Cisco's rules or are dishonest
2. Those who have sat the lab - in this case they are violating the NDA.

Either way, it irks me that there is a wealth of info available and people
still ask questions that are answered on the Cisco site. You yourself are an
example of someone who has made the effort to review the Cisco site and your
answer is excellent in as much you only provide info you know to be correct.
What bothers me still more is that I feel that the people who do not even
bother with basic research about the exam they are sitting are most likely
to be the people who ask "does this work" or "can this be done" or even
worse "how do I do / what is the answer to this". I take some interest in
reading the Groupstudy articles and "people-watching". I have seen many
times that those who say "I will test this in the lab" or "I was thinking of
this and tried it in the lab and found this" tend to pass more quickly than
those who have labs yet still ask "if I do this what happens". This is just
an observation and I am not saying that people should not ask any questions,
I am just passing on some thoughts for what they are worth.

Howard,

There isn't a blueprint for the lab, there is only a blueprint for the
written exam.

There is only an equipment list and you are responsible for configuring any
feature in the IOS for the gear listed on the equipment list.

The only topics which you aren't responsible for because they have been
removed from the exam are: LAT, DECnet, Apollo, Banyan VINES,ISO CLNS, XNS,
ATM LANE, X.25, and Appletalk. Anything else in the IOS is fair game.

After November 4th, Token Ring, IPX, and IGRP will also be removed.

Is IS-IS in the lab blueprint? That should answer your question.
