the demand circuit do exactly like that , it kills the dead timer of the ospf s
o that the ospf neighbors will be considered up even if your router didnt hear
any hellos from them ,plus it suppress the hellos over the link....that is all
.
this will not prevent OSPF from bringing up the link if any changes happened or
every 30 minutes ,that is why you might need to define ospf as uninteresting ,
so that ospf will never bring up the link .
as long as the link comes up because of any interesting traffic you defined ..
your ospf updates will pass normally .
