Yup. This webpage confirms that they won't work on a 2600

Although one part of the page says:
        Features
                Supported on complete range of Cisco 2600 and 3600 series Multi

platforms

But then there is a chart further down indicating "N/A" for NOT AVAILABLE
for the 2600.

I've got some Cisco equipment to sell too....but if I asked my girlfriend to
help me sell like that I'd probably
get smacked around. Or maybe she'd do it and charge me the going rack
rental rate.
