        Auto-cost X is the command under the ospf process where X is in
X/BW. (needed to get the interface speeds higher than 100 to compute a cost
other than 1)

 there is a command which will allow the ospf to adjust its metric value so
that it takes into consideration the gigabit speed..
standard ospf will recognize up to 100M ( you know the cost is 100M/BW)
..however placing that command will somehow change this formula ..i dont
remember it now .
