Seems you need to ensure ospf assigns the appropriate cost to a gigE
interface. By default ospf calculates cost with:
Ref_bw/bw=cost where ref-bw=10**7 (10 to the 7th or 100mbps)
So, FE and GigE, OC3, etc... will all have the cost of 1 (must be a
whole number.) Tweaking the bandwidth command here obviously won't
work.
So you must change the ref-bw with the router config command:
auto-cost reference-bandwidth n (I think n is in Mbps...but don't trust
me. Look it up!)
