Folks,
I have a question . I have a 7505 router running 12.0(5) XE5
( not been upgraded due to well, political reasons ) . We have GEIPs on
this router . It crashes every now and then and the syslog messages point
to the GEIP . Initially we thought that the GEIP had gone bad but even
after replacing teh GEIP it happened . So obviously it is not the GEIP . I
just looked into teh Hardware comapatablity matrix on CCO and it does not
list my IPS ver as being compatible with the GEIP . I have this config (
same IPS ver) running on other routers but they have never crashed . Do you
think that I should replace the IOS image with one that says that it is
compatible with the GEIP on CCO ?
