Thanks. Your suggestion of removing the VLAN interface and rebuilding it
sounds like the best way to remove HSRP entirely. Phil offered a less
intrusive workaround for changing the HSRP IP address (change IP on the
standby first, decrement priority of active so it becomes standby, then
change it's IP), which I'll test on Monday. Both excellent solutions.
Dave wondered about IOS version. I believe I'm at 12.1(16a) but will check
on Monday. If I upgrade the IOS, I'll avoid c6msfc2-pk2sv-mz.121-8b.E9.bin.
