Colin,
Use global "ip tcp synwait-time 5" if you want to change the TCP synch
timeout from default of 30 seconds to 5 seconds.
Another nice command is under con and vty lines: "escape-character 27" maps
the [ESCAPE] character so you can ESC out of a ping or traceroute.
