There must be some type of supervision though right?

Hi Henk,
I agree with you about the seating.
I knew before hand that it was a remote lab but never knew there was no
proctor onsite or that it was so unprofessional.
Good luck on your next attempt.
Regards,
George

Hi George
Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
I stay in JHB and have done the LAB twice. I must say that both times the
link went down just once, and came up almost immediately.
Everybody complains about the location. The chairs are uncomfortable and by
the end of the day I rather stand than sit down - it breaks your back.
At least the guys from here know that the equipment sits in Brussels - it
seems like you didn't know?
For us at least it means we do not have to spend another R20000.00 plus to
get to a location like Brussels.
Like everybody else says, good luck for the next time!!
Henk

Subject: lab attempt in johannesburg
hi All,
I took the lab yesterday in johannesburg (1st attempt) and unfortunately
didnt make it.
Taking the lab in johannesburg was a big mistake and definately wouldnt
recommend it.
- The lab is done remotely to equipment in brussels
- The line went down about 5 times during my exam
- There is no onsite proctor and you have to call brussels for clarity on
any questions.
- I tried calling 3 times and only got through once. The other 2 times the
proctors phone went to voice mail.
I lost about 30-45min with the above issues and was unable to finish certain
sections before time was up.
Also, the pc that i was working at didnt work initially - They were kind
enough to give me the 20min back for that.
I felt quite confident after the exam that i was going to make it but got
the bad news this morning. Im thinking of a remark as i disagree with the
grading i got for certain sections.
Now the problem is the 4 week wait period as well as the LONG wait for
another lab seat.
One more thing, if Cisco is really interested in the integrity of the exam
that should pay more attention to the lab facilities and make sure they
check ID - I wasnt asked for ID yesterday. The pc I was working on was
extremely slow and twice gave runtime errors and closed all applications i
was working on.
I guess it's back to the rack time.
regards,
George
