idrp preference question

I understand that the lower of the value, the higher of the preference. (the
opposite of CiscoDoc CD).

Given the ios syntax.
ipsec-1605-2(config-if)#ip irdp preference ?
  <-2147483648 - 2147483647> preference for this address (higher values
                              preferred)

Could I say, -2147483648 is the most prefered.
             and 2147483647 is least prefered?
aka, is a negative value ok as preference?
