You can only filter by mac address on a layer 2 switch. The ip permit list
is only relevant for telnet/snmp access.

Subject: IP access via a port

Hi,

In a scenario I have to restrict access to a port that is in a public place
on a switch to a single IP and MAC address.

I have implemented port security and locked it down to the relevant MAC
address and used mac-address exclusive.

I have also tried to implement the IP permit list.

How do you apply it to the relevant port ? Or am I barking up the wrong tree
?

Regards,

John.
