try this global command - 'partition flash 1 16' - the second chip must be
empty before it will work

Hi,
I am trying to add a second 8 mb flash memory module to a Cisco 2500.
It adds the second module as a separate partition. I have erased the
flash in both partitions, power cycled the router and cannot seem to
figure out why it will not allow me to merge the two partions into one
so that I can upload a flash image larger than the single 8mb flash
size. Both Flash modules are Intel, and the Boot roms are 11.0(10c).
Anybody with an Idea how to get the two midules to be seen as one
partition?
