How about this:
Set up your router with exec-timeout 0 0, no ip domain-lookup etc, etc. Save
this running-config to your flash. Then if you need to erase the config of
the router copy flash:xxx to startup-config and reload. That way you bypass
the initial configuration dialog (which takes a while to terminate) and you
already have your initial configuration.
