Thanks, Emmanuel and Landon.

I don't think that's the problem. I still think the problem is on the
3920. When I put both ports back in trcrf-default (VLAN 1003), which is
in SRB mode, I can start pinging between the routers almost immediately
without using a multiring command on the routers.

However, I verified that each newly-created TrCRF was indeed in SRB
mode, so I added "multiring all" on both router to0 interfaces and put
each ports back into its own TrCRF. Once again I cannot ping. This does
not fix the problem.

Here's the pertinent config info:

The Statistics > Port Status page for the ports is as follows:
-----------
3 trcrf-default trbrf-default Yes Yes 16 HDX port
Cut-Thru
8 trcrf-default trbrf-default Yes Yes 16 HDX port

-----------
 VTP VLAN Configuration

 TrBRF/TrCRF ID Brdg/Rng Ports
Local State

     CRF3 3 auto yes

     CRF8 8 auto yes

 trbrf-default 1005 0x0F

  8 Static CRF8 BRF100

I've seen several lab scenarios that call for putting each token ring
port in its own TrCRF. Has anyone out there got this working?

Any other ideas?

Jonathan

Jonathon,

Are you configured for SRB or SRT on the 3920? If configured for SRB,
I believe that you have to configure "multiring IP" on the router TR
interafaces when you have multiple TrCRFs configured under one TrBRF.

Landon
