Hi,
I've tested but if we consider the orphaned area as a normal non-area 0 area
then the summarisation should be done on the transit area + orphaned area +
area-0 (via VL) router.

My understanding is that VLs are in area 0.
So I would say that the router connected to area-0 + transit area
is not in the orphaned area. The transit area + orphaned area +
