Hi all,
I haven't got a 3920 switch and I want to know the answer. Can somebody
try that about the ring and bridge numbers at 3920 ?
PC--3920Vlan1--R1---DLSW---R2--3920Vlan2--PC
there is only one switch and you must make 2 vlans. I think we must make
one TrBRF and one TrCRF for first vlan and another TrBRF, TrCRF for
second vlan. Think that
First vlan : Ring 10, bridge 5
Second vlan : Ring 20, bridge 7
Please try what will we put for the bridge numbers at 3920 and Routers.
Like that : TrCRF : 10 , TrBRF : 5 ------ TrCRF : 20 , TrBRF : 7
is that true ?
Best Regards
umit

Joe,
I think the ring number in the router should match the TRCRF. And the
bridge number in the router should match the TRBRF .
Pls note that the ring and bridge numbers are configured in Hex in the
TR
switch, whereas its in decimal in the router.
Pls someone correct me if I am wrong

Please respond to

The ring number must match the ring number of the switch port and must
be
unique, but the bridge number can be anything, and can be duplicated.
If I
recall correctly, it must match the TRcrf.

Guys,
I am confused about configuring the ring and bridge
numbers in SRB. Should the ring number match with the
ring number configured for that port on the TokenRing
switch?. And what about the bridge number?. Which
should it match?.TRcrf or Trbrf?.
Also, which should they be in hex or decimal?.
Thanks!
