I haven't tried this but if it not possible to watch connected routes then
just watch a network at the remote end of the link, you achieve the same
thing.
I will try and test this over the weekend

Subject: Dialer watch and local interface
Dear all,
I have made some tests and it seems to me that dialer watch can only watch
remote networks but the locally connected ones.
If I put a remote network (that is learnt via routing protocol) into the
dialer watch-list, it works fine.
When I put a locally connected network, it does not bring up the backup line
when the interface go gown and the corresponding route disappears form the
routing table.
Is it the normal behaviour, my fault or a bug ?
Thanks, Gabor
