I have Doyle's book, but it doesn't seem to be of great help to me.
Multicast is my weakest area ever and it doesn't seem to be getting any
better.

For example, after configuring your Multicast routers properly (that's the
easy part), trying to ping the group from one of the routers and getting
responce from all but one router, here you have to fidle and configure
static mroutes etc etc...That's where the confusion is.

Will just have to keep trying untill I figure it out.

Thanks for the advice

Yakout

Yakout,

The best introduction of Multicast is Sybex's CCNP Switching Study Guide.
You'll walk away with a clear understanding, and also the basic
configuration commands.

After you have the concepts down, TCP/IP Vol II covers it much deeper, as
Nick said.

Beau Williamson's "Developing IP Multicast Networks Vol 1" ISBN 1578700779
is the indepth guide.
