I am pretty sure someone has the answer to this. If so, please help.
Network:
R5 IGRP (loopback 0=135.2.5.5/24)
|
| ^ IGRP
R3----R4 > OSPF
| v RIP
|
R1 RIP (loopback 0=135.2.1.1/24)
problem #1)
Router 3 does the mutual redist. IGRP --> into OSPF, then OSPF into -->
RIP. R5's loopback, 135.2.5.0/24 shows up in 'sh ip ospf data' as an
external. So I know that IGRP --> OSPF was successful. But 135.2.5.0/24
is not being placed into RIP table, and therefore does not show up in R1.
problem #2)
Router 3 does mutual redist in the other direction as well. But the first
redist is failing. In other words RIP --> OSPF. So, I never get to OSPF
--> IGRP. 135.2.1.0/24 does not appear in the 'sh ip ospf data' list as an
external. As such, 135.2.1.0/24 never shows up on R5.
I am using redist conn subnets.
I am sure it has to do with classful, and having the same classful
135.2.0.0 net on each router, but not sure how to get the redist to work
correctly, in that type of situation.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
-Craig.
