Can you be more explicit? Which area did you expect the summary to be
propagated to? It is supposed only to be flooded within the non-backbone
areas the ABR directly connects to. Just tried this (12.2(10)), and it
works like a charm:
R1 - area 0 - R2 - area 1 - R3
The summary R2 creates for an area 0 internal route is seen at R3. It is
not seen at R1, but we are not supposed to see it there, so it's all fine..
