It seems clear the the constant K2 directly influences inclusion of load in
metric calculations for IGRP/EIGRP.
I am less clear about reliability. It appears K5 either includes or negates
reliability but what purpose does K4 provide?
The last part of the equation is as follows: M = M X k5/reliability+k4
My impression is that K4 would have a minimal impact and would only serve to
prevent a divide by zero error
int the event of reliability being 0. Anyone have any thoughts? Is it
essential to include k4=1 to achieve inclusion of
reliability in metric calculation?
