This was in a couple of practice labs but I can't find a definitive
reference. If you are doing multicasting and you know you are plugged
into a CISCO switch it is my understanding that the router interface
needs to have cgmp enabled as well as a PIM mode and and IGMP join for
any MCAST groups your clients could be part of.
What goes on the switch: CGMP enable or IGMP enable?
How can the router auto-configure the switch?
Thes might seem like dumb questions, but I am finding some
contradictions in some of the sources I have read. (or ai am
misinterpreting them)
