Just wanted to let everyone know that I passed at RTP on Tuesday and got my
number. Thanks to all who have helped, some people on this list, Bruce, Val
and Fred at NMC, and most of all my family; especially my wife.
Studied all the same stuff as everyone else. Just to add as far as my study
habits, I prepared for every topic in the most complex manner. I did this for
about two weeks before the exam. If you prepare for the absolute worst, when
you get the exam and it is not the absolute worst - then anything you are
asked to do will seem easier than what you prepared for.
On a side note, as everyone does, I asked the proctor some questions here and
there. One time when I went up I noticed the new OSPF book on the desk and
mentioned that the other book (bgp) was better and that I was thinking of
getting it. Then this guy sitting next to the proctor said "Well I wrote
them, and they are both good." I said "nuh uhh" and he showed me his Cisco
badge and sure enough there was Bill Parkhurst sitting talking with the
proctor. Kinda cool.
