CCIE and didn't understand why the host routers.

So by default
- Loopbacks are advertised as host routes by OSPF
- P-MP links are also advertised as host routes

Hi,
The OSPF point-to-multipoint mode inserts the host
routes on purpose. It is so that the OSPF routers have
spoke to spoke connectivity in a multipoint
configuration. What are you trying to achieve?
