Dear group,

        R1------BRI (Area 0)---------R5--Loopback (Area 50)

        | |
        | ethernet (Area 30)

Frame Relay cloud (Area 0)----------R4

The solution suggested that a virtual link be configured between R4 and R5 whic
h I did not configure when I attempted this lab. Is it absolutely necessary sin
ce R5 is a also a ABR directly connected to area 0 via BRI? The BRI is not a pr
oviding any backup service. Hope someone can clear my doubt. Thanks in advance.
