I have one of these cards in my 4000.. I bought a single port for 29
dollars, but the dude sent me a dual.. even so this mod is over priced, I
have seen the two port go for 39 dollars. As for its usefulness, you will
need a MAU, and a couple modular adaptors, DB9/RJ they use four pins for t+-
/r+- and the pins are easy to figure out, so no need for a media filter..
run it into a mixed media MAU, like an Andrew 9229, 20 bucks on ebay, this
with a madge card, 5 bucks tops.. With a rig as simple as this, you can
configure what you like as far as bridging and the like, also, token is
cheap and the routers have most of the same functionality as ether, but half
the price.. :o)
