You are correct, configuring of DLSw+ is necessary. In fact, I should have
mentioned that the question starts with "Configure DLSw+ on ring 1 (which is
separated from the rest by a frame cloud), VLANA and VLANB", which led me to
believe that you should start with standard DLSw+. I did that, and it worked
perfectly. My issue is with the next part.
Is there a command/config that can virtually attach a ring to a remote,
non-attached VLAN area??? This part of the question makes me think that I'm
expected to turn the "ring1 (other side of the frame
cloud)-VLANA-ring2-VLANB" DLSw+ communication setup to a "VLANA-ring2-VLANB"
DLSw+ communication setup wihtout physically changing the topology.
I know this sounds crazy, but this is what I'm working with.
