Dear group,
I have strange behaviour of my NTP routers :
I use IOS IP+ vers 12.1.13 on all routers.
first I configure master and client with NTP peer :
---------------------------------------------------------------------
R1 (Master 155.100.14.1)
ntp master 10
R4 (Client 155.100.14.4)
ntp peer 155.100.14.1
R2/R3 (peer with R4)
ntp peer 155.100.14.4
all is working well
Second authentication added
-----------
R1 (Master 155.100.14.1)
ntp authentication-key 10 md5 cisco
ntp authenticate
ntp trusted-key 10
ntp master 10
After some minutes R4 lose his connectivity
I added NTP authentication on R4
ntp authentication-key 10 md5 1511021F0725 7
ntp authenticate
ntp trusted-key 10
ntp peer 155.100.14.1
And then ...nothing happends ! I try to debug but nothing happends, no
synchronization. Finally I removed ntp peer ... and then re-add. This
reset the ntp and all was in order.
What is strange is that I dont loose the synchronization with R2 and R3
(both are not configured without authentication)
r3#sh ntp ass

Normally I have to configure NTP authentication on all routers.

Jean-Luc
