EIGRP sends out an update every time the reachability changes. I had to read t
his twice as I missed some key words in the first go round. Basically, they sh
ut down their router on their end and will manually bring it up when they need
it, correct?
Is it HDLC, PPP, Ethernet or something else? I guess it has to be some type of
a point-to-point, but I wanted to rule out ethernet handoff from a telco. Fi
rst, your serial links should not flap. It should just be up/down.
So I think you have other issues you need to resolve. But in the meantime, you
can use "no keep" to keep it from flapping.
