Juan,
a layer 2 switch has no business with IP addresses other than
management traffic. So nailing the MAC to the port is the best
you can do here, I guess.
You can go to your router and nail the IP to this MAC there.
You can also publish it so no other MAC can use the IP, at least
in a reliable way...
