routing table vs. bgp table

Hi all
I have a conceptual question.
If you have all the routes in the bgp table, does it mean you have those in
the routing table as well?
Can you ping if a route is in the bgp table, but not in the routing table?
How about vise versa?
Can someone clarify this?
