Doyle is very correct in what he suggest should happen with the use
of the "ip summary -address eigrp x" command. Basically, this command
allows Earhart to advertise the summary route for the 172.20.15.0 instead of
the two routes for both serial links to Lindbergh and Cochran. I believe
the "auto-summary" will break this solution in that it would cause Earhart's
eigrp process to summarize the 172.20.15.x and all other network to the
classful boundary of 172.20.0.0/16. What this means is with IGRP being
configured on this link, Curtiss will not learn a route it knows of directly
and therefore the updates would be suppressed. Another note is that IGRP
will only listen/pass route updates with the similar mask or a mask on the
native classful boundary. Remember IGRP does not carry mask iformation
within the packet and does not support VLSM.
