Ian,

You have the same issues with igrp also (as rip) and you need to use the
same tricks ( second ospf process/tunnelling/secondary int.).

I have a few questions regarding redistribution between IGRP and OSPF.

As for RIP I believe the redistribution rules are that RIP will learn
routes that match the mask of the link (and perhaps host routes). If
you have other routes that don't match the mask of the link then you
have to do various tricks to make it work such as dual ospf with
summarization, tunnel, subinterface, etc...

But IGRP seems to follow different rules than above. I don't have
access to Doyle Vol I unfortunately so I'm hoping someone on this list
does - or knows the IGRP redist issues.

I have not been able to redistribute consistently routes that match the
mask of the IGRP link from OSPF into IGRP. I've redistributed ospf into
igrp and don't expect all classless routes to be learned but would
expect routes matching the link mask to be learned.

I guess that sums up my confusion/understanding/misunderstanding.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you have on this.

Ian
